Kiss The Cook owners Janet Galloway and Bren Isgitt have very different culinary styles, but they both share a love for cooking and good food. And, that's paved the way for an enduring friendship and business partnership.

"We are kind of like the old story of the Country Mouse and the City Mouse," says Bren Isgitt, referrring to the classic children's tale. Isgitt grew up on a dairy farm in Colorado City, Texas, where she practiced hearty country cooking with fresh ingredients. Galloway grew up in Dallas, Texas, where she watched gourmet cooking shows on television, then started replicating the featured dishes at home.

Both Bren and Janet say having their own kitchen store has been a learning experience. But it has also given them the opportunity to share their lifelong love of cooking. They are both adept at culinary detective work, seeking all sorts of kitchen tools and gadgets for their customers to help them explore their own creative cooking adventures.

"Hospitality and customer service are priorities," Galloway adds. "People come in here sharing cooking tips and recipes, looking for quality cookware and customer service. They always leave saying, 'I love this store!'"
